What is your refund policy?

Northern-Lites does not offer refunds. You are agreeing to adopt and care for a living thing and we never pressure anyone to make a decision they are not ready for. Most puppies have a short window of opportunity to find their “forever home.” By cancelling your adoption agreement, you reduce the likelihood of your puppy finding a loving home. Having said that, we’re always ready to take back your furry friend… after all, they’re family.

Question 2

What’s included with your puppy?

Accepted Answer

Care and training instructions, your puppy’s favourite toy, vaccination records, genetic OFA health certifications on sire and dam, and contract with a 2-year health warranty.

Question 3

Picking your puppy out.

Accepted Answer

For your puppy’s protection, Northern-Lites puppies must receive the 8th-week puppy vaccine before leaving. Prior to this, we can help you choose a puppy that will fit into your family based on the preferences and description you give us. We have 34 years of experience matching families with their perfect puppy.

Question 4

Do you spay/neuter your pups?

Accepted Answer

Our puppies are sold intact since you might decide to breed them yourself. We do not agree with early “desexing” but rather suggest that the animal be spayed or neutered shortly before reaching its first puberty.

Question 5

Puppy interactions after going home.

Accepted Answer

For the first few weeks, puppies need to stay close to home to help them familiarise themselves with the surroundings and prevent stimulation overload. Vets’ opinions on timing and shots needed to keep your puppy safe differ. So, discuss with your veterinarian about the best age for your puppy to interact with other dogs and visit dog-friendly places.
